Steve and Kate’s Camp believes that kids should be put in charge of their own learning experience. For the past 43 years, Steve and Kate’s Camp locations have allowed kids to try, fail, and learn on their own as they tackle the challenges of the changing world around them with a sense of creativity and confidence. Campers can choose from a variety of activities every day, and there is no formal schedule where they have to do specific activities.
Parents can buy any number of days to be used at any time, and can be refunded for any unused days. Lunch and snacks are provided. Activities include many learning and activity centers that feature themes like stop motion animation, sewing, coding, acting, robotics, baking, STEAM activities, sports and recreation, and water play. There is also a lounge for relaxing and socializing.

Camp Galileo is a place to find innovation, friendship, and fun all summer long. Kids from kindergarten through 10th grade can enjoy summer with enriching day camps with many different themes. Camp Galileo grows with kids, giving them the perfect combination of challenges and fun.
Camp Galileo features spectacular staff, a 12:1 camper-to-staff ratio, an innovative approach, a curriculum designed by educators, and a proven impact as kids learn to share ideas and persevere at challenges. This San Jose summer day camp is a place where kids can rediscover summer fun with innovation-igniting, hands-on learning. Extended care is available in the mornings and afternoons. Camp themes include castles, dinosaurs, circus, carnival games, theme parks, and water play.
Almaden Country Day School

Almaden Country Day School offers summer camps to all children, both within and outside the ACDS community. There are currently 5 weeks of camps offered in the mornings and afternoons, with evening sports camps in June. Camps are available for kids of all ages.
ACDS believes that everyone deserves an amazing summer, and there are programs for pre-kindergarten and kindergarten-aged children. Early childhood teachers lead these fun camps and have low student-teacher ratios. There are also three Speech and Debate camps for 6th through 8th graders, led by Christopher Wardner, who teaches at Leland High School. ACDS also offers ten fun and exciting Makerspace camps led by Joanne Papini. In total, there are over 70 camps to choose from for kids in pre-K through grade 8. Staff at ACDS are committed, energetic, and passionate about providing fun, engaging summer experiences to kids.

The YMCA Silicon Valley has a variety of day camps running out of Steinbeck Elementary School in San Jose. Parents can choose from core camps that make trips to places like Golfland and Great America, or special interest camps such as jewelry making and weird science.
