About Affordable Treasures
Located near Highway 85 and Highway 17 in Los Gatos, Affordable Treasures–an old-fashioned variety store–offers party supplies, toys, arts and crafts, holiday decor, and novelties seven days a week. Affordable Treasures has been a family-run business since 1986. Beginning in King’s Court Shopping Center in Los Gatos, the family eventually expanded to their current location on Los Gatos Boulevard in 1996. They are open 9-7p.m. on weekdays and 9-6p.m. on weekends.
Products
Affordable Treasures has party supplies for nearly any party you can imagine: birthdays, baby showers, and weddings. They have themed party supplies like trains, circus, Harry Potter, Paw Patrol, princesses, Moana, Sesame Street, and unicorns. In addition, they have a specially curated section for each holiday: New Year, Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, and Christmas. They also sell books, costumes, school supplies, cake decorating supplies, pinatas, toys, and games. While they certainly focus on party supplies, they also have a large toy selection! They stock all kinds of stuffed animals, board games, puzzles, slime, and magic trick toys. Affordable Treasures’ costume section consists of outfits for every age group: infants, toddlers, children, teen girls, teen boys, and adults. They also have both women’s and men’s plus-size costumes.
Services
The store provides decorations for any party you could have: birthday or graduation. For graduation season last year, they had 32 different custom-printed High School and Middle School balloons. As “balloon enthusiasts,” the employees create personalized balloon bouquets for any event you may be hosting. They also make balloon centerpieces and have both numbered and lettered balloons. Affordable Treasures does not have any events at the store but follow their Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Pinterest accounts to keep up with the latest news. Right now, the store is working on transitioning into a complete e-commerce store, but you can shop some online. Affordable Treasures also sells school supplies like crayons, pencils, scissors, tape, binders, glue, notebooks, and more.
In addition to having party needs, the store is an experience itself, so you don’t need to have a party to get the most out of this unique store. Instead, bring your children to brainstorm for their next party idea or buy toys or games from a small business.
