Spotlight On Blossom Birth and Family in Palo Alto: A Resource for New and Expecting Parents

Blossom Birth and Family in Palo Alto is an amazing non-profit resource for expectant and young families. They offer a wide variety of classes and information for Bay Area parents, from prenatal yoga and childbirth classes, to baby sign language and infant massage classes.

Located on California Avenue in Palo Alto, they host classes both virtually online and at nearby parks. Online options, such as hypno-birthing and intro to baby sign language, make it easy for parents to attend from the comfort of their home. They also offer some in-person classes, like prenatal and baby & me yoga classes, outdoors at local parks.

Having a baby is a life-changing experience and, as a Bay Area maternity and newborn photographer, it’s important to me to connect the families I photograph with resources for each stage that they’re in. Support during pregnancy is important, but I also want parents to know about postpartum support that’s available to them. It’s so important! Connecting with other new parents can be helpful in those early days of parenting, and Blossom Birth and Family provides so many opportunities for that.

I actually first heard about them from one of my maternity clients when she mentioned taking prenatal yoga classes there. After perusing their website, I was so excited to find out about the vast calendar of offerings they provide beyond yoga, I knew I needed to share them with all of my clients. Here’s a sample of what’s available at each age and stage.
